This isn't their attempt to appease anyone, it's just a few tweaks.
If it is, it's a piss poor attempt since there's no actual content.
Great. Now 360 and PS3 gamers have the opportunity to wonder if the game will ever see the light of day.
So long as the gameplay remains fresh and innovative, I don't really care when the next game arrives.
It's games that make minimal or mediocre improvements that are milking imo. Frequency doesn't matter a bit.
@Raiin
Well, bottom line: you're still wrong about the PC thing. I was trying to be nice about it.
Anyway, you're out of bubbles so no point in arguing the matter further.
Wow. Chrome is the fastest browser by far on my machine.
Of course I still prefer the Firefox for all that malleability. Can't beat it.
"That what i meant it depends on more than just Ram and video card."
You don't even HAVE a card. Really, what is your point?
If you had a dedicated card (even just a 256MB card) you'd probably be able to run those games properly. You don't and so you can't. And yet you're trying to pretend cards don't matter as if you even had one to begin with.
No offence, but you are wrong are you've been corrected. Learn something and move on instead of pret...
@GEC:
Upgrade every six months? I take it you've never been a PC gamer.
"Where was all the whining from 360 fans when The Witcher was canceled for the 360 but came out on PC?"
It's not the same thing. Remedy is well-known for supporting the PC (though not exclusively). CD Projekt's only game is The Witcher. There's no hype there and no reputation. It would be more like if Bungie decided their next game would be PC exclusive...only after previou...
I was annoyed at first, but I got over it. Mainly because I realise it's just not the same game. Obviously they've completely optimized and revamped the game for the 360. As far as I know, the Alan Wake c. 2005-2008 I planned to purchase is dead and gone.
This game is back to square one for me. Forget everything that was said before June 09.
Let's just see what the game has to offer for my 360 now.
With 16GB internal memory, you don't have to use any stick starting off. However, when you want to expand you'll have to buy a new micro cos that's all it accepts.
"While the developer’s relations with Microsoft are rocky at best, following the cancellation of True Fantasy Live Online – intended to be a showcase of the original Xbox’s connectivity features — it wouldn’t surprise us to see Microsoft attempting to make amends in the near future."
Big, BIG screw-up here. MS pissed off L5 and the small company went on to do awesome things with Nintendo and Sony. Arguably, MS would have had the Japanese wrapped around their little fing...
I'm starting to believe "Rage" is the perfect name for this game.
I'm surprised those aren't terrible ideas. It would be VERY nice indeed to get a home version of Police 911.
I'll tell you what console RPGs are forgotten: most of those associated with SEGA.
Dragon Force, Beyond Oasis, the REAL Phantasy Stars (it used to be an actual RPG!), D&D: Warriors of the Eternal Sun, Landstalker, Panzer Dragoon Saga, etc.
I'd love to see a few of these resurface.
I see a lot of people like Piranha Bytes (Risen, Gothic) but I'm just now getting around to playing Gothics I & II. I'm not too sure about Risen, so hopefully the Gothics will persuade me.
Ha. Magna Carta 2. Those who played Magna Carta on PS2 are not looking at MC2 as a must buy. First game was not great at all.
Most of the JRPGs I'm interested in are flocking to DS, but there's that Resonance of Fate/End of Eternity or w/e. Looks promising.
I read the comic and she's a cool character imo. Bit of a dark past and a daredevil type of soldier. A lot like BSG's Starbuck/Kara Thrace first glance.
I dunno if she should be a main character, but it would definitely be worth it to see her in action.
Yeah, that's definitely a concern. Back when I was playing the customer service wasn't exactly awesome (but not as severe as reported now). If Blizzard bans you from WoW at least you'll be able to correspond and get something of a human response. I just hope that maybe SE's recent acquisitions will allow them to better support and address Western concerns. From what I've read recently, SE definitely needs to work on that abroad or they can feel free to go Japan-only with this one.
"The style of Haiderin will be different from Vana'diel, aiming for a "high-fantasy" style setting. They want the setting to be more modern in comparison to Final Fantasy XI's more middle-age setting."
Why does that seem contrary to me?
The PS3 will get its due in JRPGs. They're definitely being made. Just gotta wait for that stuff to get localized.
Actually, 360 will likely be considered a successful console for remaining a consistent draw despite the defects.
Edit: Might as well not waste a bubble.
I don't think you understood my comment at all, deaf.
All I said was it's not a flop if it remains profitable and well-adopted. No matter if it has defects or not. Ex: Fallout 3 had a lot of bugs but was not considered a flop at all. Conversely, it is actually one of the most well-received games this...
I'm not very surprised at all.
